Systems Engineering
University of Utah
Systems Engineering is an interdisciplinary field of engineering and management that seeks to design complex systems involving technology and human interaction through the system's life cycle. The primary role of a systems engineer is to serve as an integrator in various systems, their subsystems, and elements, and to avoid issues that could otherwise pose a significant threat to stakeholders. Thus, systems engineers support the development of a product throughout its life cycle.
