Materials Science and Engineering
University of Utah
Materials Science and Engineering is an integrated discipline of chemistry, physics and engineering. This is reflected in our Program of Study. It is the one discipline within the College of Engineering that still gives the students the opportunity to study science while earning an engineering degree. Materials Scientists apply the principles of physics and chemistry to engineering problems, design and development of new materials.
