Environmental Health
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
Environmental health is the study of how exposures to external hazards, including chemical, physical, and biological agents, affect human health. Environmental health researchers and professionals seek to understand how to evaluate exposures that create risk to human health, how those exposures elicit biological responses that lead to disease and injury, and how policy is developed and used to prevent adverse health effects.
