Students in this program learn broadly about insects and their relationship to humans, the environment, and other organisms. Students gain a strong scientific foundation in entomology, biology, chemistry, mathematics, ecology and biotechnology, coupled with field experiences and lab work, which provides students with practical skills, needed for research or industry careers. Entomology is a basic and applied science of insects and their relatives such as ticks and mites.
