The Department of Physics offers courses and research experience leading to the Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Advanced-degree candidates may pursue thesis research in experimental, computational, or theoretical AMO (atomic, molecular, and optical) physics, nuclear and particle physics, or solid state physics. Special programs are available for students who are preparing for careers in undergraduate teaching.
