Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) are certified healthcare providers who are trained to respond, treat, and transport individuals in emergency situations. With the assistance of dispatchers, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics, EMTs are an integral component of the Emergency Medical Team. The Emergency Medical Technician certificate prepares students to work with the Emergency Medical System (EMS), and become state and nationally certified as an EMT-Basic.
