The sociology major enables students to explore an understanding of people and society, including social problems, deviant behavior, families, gender, race and ethnicity, religion, culture and the life cycle. The bachelor's degree program prepares the student for graduate studies in sociology or a number of fields such as college teaching, demographic studies, forensics, criminal justice, ministry and epidemiology.
