Trauma and Addictions

This certification will educate students on the etiology of addiction, causes of trauma, and theoretical perspectives involved in treatment. Coursework covers environmental factors of addiction and trauma, therapeutic theories, and methods to research topics for providing an empirical based treatment framework. Individuals completing the coursework will meet the Virginia Certification Board and International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium's (IC&RC) certification requirements.
