Associate of Science in Liberal Arts (ASLA)

The ASLA degree helps prepare students to transfer into a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree program at one of Oregon's public universities. Students in BA programs tend to need two years of a second language at the college-level. BS programs, by contrast, tend to involve more math and/ or science instead of a language. However, many colleges, including Portland State University, allow students to choose a BS or a BA in many of their science majors, including chemistry, biology, and more!
