This major prepares interested students to teach social studies at the secondary level, integrating the study of anthropology, economics, geography, government, history, philosophy, psychology, religion, and sociology. Students complete 31 hours of major courses, seven hours of other required courses, 33 hours of professional education including observation and directed teaching, and six hours of electives in addition to General Education.
