The American Sign Language and Deaf Studies certificate program is designed to introduce students to the language, culture, and history of the American Deaf community. Students will acquire a foundation of American Sign Language (ASL) and become acquainted with various issues and concerns of the Deaf community. The curriculum provides students with the academic qualifications to enter advanced ASL courses and is also ideal for those pursuing professions that work with Deaf people.
