The English Department serves the Midland University mission by offering a wide variety of language and literature courses, which enhance human understanding, aesthetic sensitivity, and intellectual development. The program also serves the Midland University mission by providing a rigorous major for the future teacher, graduate student, and/or liberal arts student. This major is intended to prepare the student to enter a graduate English program.
