The Paramedic Program is designed to prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession. The Paramedic provides care to emergency patients in an out-of-hospital setting. In addition to providing initial emergency treatment, the emerging roles and responsibilities of the Paramedic also include public education, health promotion and participation in injury and illness prevention programs.
