The purpose of this program is to prepare graduates for advanced practice nursing, as family nurse practitioners, nurse educators, or nurse managers. In collaboration with Shenandoah University, the program offers students the opportunity to become nurse midwives (NM) or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNP). Coursework incorporates the classroom, laboratory, and clinical modes of instruction, with experiences among rural and/or underserved populations.
