Criminology

Criminology is the study of crime and criminal behavior. It is an interdisciplinary field that encompasses psychology, sociology, economics, and the various agencies that encounter offenders. The program focuses upon prevention, crime causation, and the reha- bilitation of offenders. The program provides an academic foundation designed to pre- pare students for transfer to a four-year college/ university to pur- sue a baccalaureate degree in criminology.
