Dental hygienists provide educational, clinical, and therapeutic services to the public focusing on disease prevention and health promotion. They also help patients develop and maintain good oral health. The Dental Hygiene program provides stimulating and rigorous classroom and clinical experience in Hawkeye’s Dental Clinic. Students are educated in oral and dental hygiene sciences, natural sciences, clinical sciences, community health, and professional development.
