This program is designed to prepare students to work with children, adolescents or adults with mental, emotional or physical handicaps in a variety of settings, such as residential and day schools, group homes, crisis intervention centers, youth correctional facilities and special needs day care centers. Skills for working with persons with special needs are developed through study and practical field experience.
