Sociology majors describe key sociological concepts and apply them to a broad range of social contexts, compare and contrast qualitative and quantitative methods in sociological contexts, and describe sociological theories and apply them to research questions using appropriate methods. Students analyze sociological data and communicate findings effectively in both oral and written forms. The major consists of 11 courses. The degree requires 32 courses (not semester credit hours).
