Phlebotomy
Dalton State College
This program is designed to train students in the collection and processing of blood specimens, skills known as Phlebotomy. Although the Phlebotomist does not actually perform any laboratory testing, Phlebotomists do work side-by-side with Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists in hospitals and other health care organizations. Phlebotomists talk with patients and donors so they are less nervous about having their blood drawn.
