Counseling (School Counseling)

The mission of the school counseling concentration within the Master of Counseling program is to prepare students to work with school-age youth in K--12 settings as a school counselor, addressing academic and socioemotional concerns. Graduates of this program hold a School Counselor, PreK--12 Certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education and become eligible to hold a license in mental health counseling, applied for through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
