The Welding Program at Western Texas College focuses on practical experience and applications from business and industry. Classes are taught with a hands-on approach, preparing students to successfully enter welding careers.

Associate of Arts

An Associate of Arts (AA) degree is awarded to students who successfully complete an approved curriculum and qualify for junior standing and transfer to a senior college or university. It is designed primarily as a transfer degree.

An Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree is awarded to students who successfully complete an approved curriculum of a minimum of 60 semester hours designed to transfer to baccalaureate programs that lead to initial Texas teacher certification.
