Administrative Office Technology

The mission of the course is to educate the student with the basic knowledge and technical skills necessary for success in both today's computerized office and traditional office setting. Extensive "hands-on" computerized training ensures a thorough understanding of current office procedures, word processing and spreadsheet applications (advanced applications), presentation software, and instruction in business communications and customer service.

Aesthetics Technology

Allied Health And Medical Assisting

The Allied Health and Medical Assisting program is a six-month certificate program, consisting of classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences. The student is exposed to a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities required of today's Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician and Medical Assistant.

Automation, Process, And Production Systems

The mission of the APPS Program is to increase the number of available skilled workers for existing and emerging manufacturing jobs, enhance worker skills, knowledge in manufacturing technologies and processes, help improve the productivity of the region's manufacturing industry, increase manufacturer's global competitive advantage, and provide manufacturing related technical assistance to local business and industry.

Automotive Technology

The mission is to provide the technical training and skill development for students to become knowledgeable in all facets of the automotive field. Students receive instruction in the proper factory approved methods of servicing, repairing and maintaining vehicles. Training also includes learning to make the proper diagnosis using test equipment, precision measuring tools, service manuals and specifications.

Basic Dental Assisting

Dental Assistants are trained to work with the dentist on live patients. During this program, you will learn the basic principles of dental instruments, dental materials, and office procedures. You will also learn what is expected of a dental assistant. TCAT Pulaski strives to provide technical instruction and skill development to enable our students to become successful dental assistants. Upon successful completion, our students will receive a Basic Dental Assistant certificate.

Building Construction Technology

Adult admission is limited to approved graduates of Summertown High School in May of the same year with immediate enrollment required by the Fall trimester. The mission of the Building Construction Technology Program is designed to teach dual enrolled high school and adult students skills relating to residential electrical wiring, carpentry, and plumbing. In addition, a core craft skills section will include safety, math, tools, rigging, communications, and employability skills.

CNC Machining Technology

The mission of the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machining Program is to provide the student with a broad range of experience of all machine tools that one will come in contact with after graduation and throughout their career. Machinists, tool and die makers, industrial maintenance employees, and machine operators all require skills in the machining of metal by machine tools.

Computer Operating Systems, Networking, And Cybersecurity

The mission of the Computer Operating Systems, Networking and Cybersecurity is to provide the information technology industry with CompTIA (Computing Technical Industry Association) certified personnel. Students will be provided the highest quality technical training and job-related skills in Computer and Network Servicing and Cybersecurity Fundamentals.

Cosmetology

The Cosmetology program provides students with basic theory and clinical knowledge of the beauty industry through the use of approved textbooks, classroom instruction, and practical application with mannequins and live models. Upon successful completion of 1,500 hours of training, students are prepared to take the TN Board of Cosmetology licensing exam.

Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer

The Criminal Justice curriculum contains a broad range of courses designed to equip correctional officers with the knowledge and understanding of inmate processing, maintaining order in the jail and invoking disciplinary measures when necessary. In addition, a correctional officer may also perform cell searches for drugs and other contraband, inspect the facility for cleanliness, and stand guard during exercise periods.

Digital Agronomy

The Digital Agronomy Program will provide students with a foundation in both conventional and regenerative agricultural practices, with a focus on 21st century technology. Students will be exposed to GIS mapping, precision agriculture, the internet of things, and the latest in crop management and irrigation practices.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, And Refrigeration

The mission of theHeating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Program is to prepare students for a career as an HVAC/R technician. Students completing this course of study will become proficient in the application, diagnosis, and service of a wide range of HVAC/R products. This program is self-paced with classroom and shop instruction including theory, application, and service.

Industrial Electricity

The mission of the Industrial Electricity Technology Program is to prepare students to install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. They follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications and will use hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.

Industrial Maintenance Technology

The mission of the Industrial Maintenance Technology Program is to train students with the broad range of skills to compete in today's technological environment as a multi-craft maintenance technician. Trainees learn the fundamentals of electricity, welding, and mechanical.

Manicuring

The mission of the Manicuring Program is to prepare the student for a career in the nail care and beauty field. Training includes all types of nail care, various types of nails, and nail techniques in three areas: General – 150 clock hours - Sterilization, sanitation and bacteriology, anatomy and physiology, state law, salon management, and ethics. Chemical – 100 clock hours – Product knowledge, ingredients and usage of materials, manicuring and pedicuring, EPA and OSHA requirements.

Pharmacy Technology

Pharmacy Technology Program's mission is to train students to work in retail & wholesale pharmacies, home health care & long term care facilities. Graduates will perform as pharmacy technicians or assistants under the pharmacist's supervision. Students will become skilled in medications, prescription preparation, reconstitution & IV preparation.

Practical Nursing

The mission of the Practical Nursing Program is to prepare students through classroom and clinical training to be productive members of the healthcare team. A high school diploma or HiSet/GED is required. Applicants should have good mental and physical health, high morals, ethical standards, and an interest and aptitude for the occupation of nursing. The length of the course is approximately 12 months. Completion of the program results in a Practical Nursing Diploma.

Residential Wiring And Plumbing

Adult admission is limited to approved graduates of Lawrence County High School and/or Loretto High School in May of the same year with immediate enrollment required by the Fall trimester. The coursework of the Residential/Commercial Wiring and Plumbing Program is structured around the NCCER curriculum. The mission of this program is designed to help prepare students for the State Limited Licensed Plumber and Electrician Exams.

Welding Technology

The welding industry continues to expand and offers challenging employment opportunities for skilled workers. The mission of the Welding Technology program is designed to prepare students for a career in welding using the various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and Arc welding. The individualized, competency-based instruction provides for both classroom instruction and practical hands-on experience using tools and state of the art welding equipment.
