Administrative Office Technology

The Administrative Office Technology program is designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in today's computerized office. Students are offered an opportunity to experience extensive hands-on training with up-to-date office equipment and computer software. Students also receive course work in filing, office procedures, and work simulations.

Automotive Technology

The Automotive Technology program provides instruction in the latest, most comprehensive methods of diagnosis, services, and repair, of today's sophisticated automobiles. This program enables students to actually perform service jobs such as oil change and lube jobs to brake repair, overhaul of engines and transmissions, and diagnosis of electrical and computer systems with the latest diagnostic equipment.

Automotive Technology

Aviation Maintenance Technology

The Aviation Maintenance Technology program prepares students to inspect, repair, service, and overhaul airframe and power plant systems. Students also receive training in the electrical and electronics area of the aviation industry. Program offers specialized classroom instruction and practical hands-on experience in the field of aviation, airframe, and power plant maintenance.

Building Construction Technology

The Building Construction Technology program provides students with basic training in areas concerned with building homes. As trends and consumer tastes change, builders must be prepared. This course is designed to prepare the student for this ever changing industry. The training is based upon fundamental construction techniques with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability.

Collision Repair Technology

The automotive Collision Repair Technology program is designed to provide training in repairing damaged auto bodies and parts. This program is Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified and will prepare students to obtain individual certification. Students may choose to do general body and paint work and develop skills in many areas, or they may specialize in the areas in which they have the greatest ability and interest.

Computer Aided Design Technology

The Computer Aided Design Technology (CAD) student is taught to translate the ideas, notes, rough sketches, specifications, and calculations of engineers, architects, and designers into working drawings, which are used by skilled craftsman in manufacturing products. Instruction in the fundamentals of material selection, strength and manufacturing processes are included in the program.

Computer Information Technology

The industries relating to the installation, operation, support, and securing of computer and network information systems are ever-expanding and challenging fields that offer a wide variety of vocational opportunities to those individuals pursuing a career in this occupational area.

Cosmetology

Personal beauty service is recognized as a necessity by most people today, and performance of this service can be satisfactory rendered only by operators who possess the skills and knowledge of the trade and who are adept at social courtesies. A state license is required for the practice of beauty culture, and a formal examination must be passed before this license can be obtained.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, And Refrigeration

This program is designed to serve the student interested in training for the heating, air conditioning, and/or refrigeration fields for gainful employment. The Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration program provides individualized training and equal opportunities for every student to develop their technical skills and knowledge.

Industrial Electricity

This program is designed to provide training in basic theories, principles, practices, experiments, and hands-on experience needed to solve everyday problems involved in electrical maintenance, installation, repair, and operation of electrical equipment. Industrial Electricity students will use calculations based on OHM's Law to solve problems in electrical and electronic circuits. Reading of schematics, logic and line diagrams is included as well.

Industrial Maintenance

This program is designed to provide students general skills in a variety of areas common to industry. Students receive training in basic welding techniques and cutting processes; machine tool technology training that includes shop theory, blueprint reading and sketching, use of hand tools and technical manuals, and the use of precision measuring instruments.

Machine Tool Technology

The work of machine tool operators, machinists, tool and die makers, industrial maintenance personnel and those in related occupations requires skill in machining metal by such machine tools as milling machines, lathes, grinders, drill presses, CNC milling machines, EDM machines and the ability to use precision measuring tools. The course in machine shop is designed to give students experience on a variety of machine tools similar to those on which they will work after graduation.

Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting

The Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting Program is an eight-month program designed to train students to a level in patient care technology that prepares them for certification and employment as a Patient Care Technician. This course offers students training in anatomy and basic science, CPR, First Aid, Phlebotomy, EKG, and patient care technology. Certificates available in this course include: Nurse Aid, Phlebotomy Technician, Electrocardiogram Technician, and Patient Care Technician.

Pipefitting And Plumbing Technology

Pipefitting and Plumbing Technology is a competency based course that takes 1296 hours to complete. The program is designed in conjunction with the NCCER curricula to provide training in skill sets vital to the trade that coincides with industry needs and standards. This program is geared to train the individual for the maintenance, industrial and construction environments. Course includes safety, systems, components, trade math, hand and power tools and fabrication skills.

Practical Nursing

The licensed practical nurse is an integral practitioner on the health care team who renders nursing within a legally defined role. Practical nurse education prepares persons for gainful employment within the healthcare field with planned learning experience in a logical sequence. The practical nursing curriculum includes both theory and supervised clinical experience which will enable students to obtain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to function within the scope of practical nursing.

Truck Driving

The Truck Driving program prepares students to pass the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) test. The program includes instruction in Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, as well as, logging procedures required by DOT and the trucking industry. The course provides actual experience in backing, driving on secondary roads, interstate roads, highways, and city streets. Students may apply to the program without their CDL permit.

Welding Technology

The Welding Technology program is designed to teach individuals how to weld various metals using different types of welding processes. The student begins with basic welding processes and techniques and then advances into processes such as pipe and tig welding. Students may elect to take the full course or may learn only one or two areas, such as mig welding for a production job or to upgrade current skills.
