Administrative Office Technology

The mission of the Administrative Office Technology Program is to prepare individuals for employment in a variety of careers as an office professional. This program provides essential training in business office procedures, customer service skills, business communications, keyboarding and document processing, proofreading and editing, business etiquette, problem solving, business writing, records and file management, and business computer skills.

Advanced Manufacturing Education

Aesthetics Technology

The mission of the Aesthetics Program is to prepare the student for a career in the skin care and beauty industry. This program specializes in the study of skin care and offers instruction in keeping skin healthy, attractive, and well maintained. Students will complete a basic Aesthetics curriculum while demonstrating competence in theory and practical skills. Students are required to complete supervised laboratory Aesthetic procedures on live clients.

Automotive Technology

The mission of the Automotive Technology program is to prepare students for entry-level employment as automotive technicians. Training includes classroom instruction and hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing “live” vehicles. Upon completion of an instructional area, students will be able to perform procedures expected of an automotive technician employed in the Automotive Field. Once an instructional area is mastered, students advance to the next area until all areas are complete.

Automotive Technology

The mission of the Automotive Technology program is to prepare stu­dents for entry-level employment as automotive technicians. Automotive Technology is an ASE certified Master Automotive Service Technician Program by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation. All instruction coincides with the nine instructional areas as recognized by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.

Building Construction Technology

The mission of the Building Construction Technology is to provide theory and hands-on training that will qualify students for employment or advancement in building construction. The Building Construction Technology Program provides the student with the fundamentals of carpentry and block and brick laying. Instruction methods include classroom lecture, audio-visuals and extensive live work projects on actual construction projects.

CNC Manufacturing

The CNC Manufacturing program is designed to provide the student with the ability to work as a CNC machine operator, machinist, tool and die maker, industrial maintenance machinist and those in related occupations that require skill in CNC machinery including the ability to interpret part prints and use precision measuring tools.

Collision Repair Technology

The mission of the Collision Repair Technology Program is to train students for employment in the field of Collision Repair and Refinishing. The Collision Repair Technician program is designed to provide the student with a thorough understanding of the materials, methods, and refinishing techniques used in the repair and restoration of a damaged automobile body.

Computer Information Technology

The Mission of the Computer Information Technology program is to provide technical training in computer operations that meet the occupational needs of local business and industry in computer related areas. The Computer Information Technology program is designed to provide students with first-hand knowledge of the software, hardware, and operations of personal computers used in business and industry.

Cosmetology

The mission of the Cosmetology Program is to train students for employment as entry-level cosmetologists. The Cosmetology program is designed to help the student master all the skills necessary for passing the State Board Examination, selecting the phase or phases of Cosmetology in which to specialize, and entering employment.

Diesel Powered Equipment Technology

The Diesel Powered Equipment Technology program provides practical experience in the repair and maintenance of engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, clutch and transmissions, hydraulics, drivelines and axles, frame and suspension systems, steering systems, brake systems, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Students receive instruction in diagnosing trouble, system analysis, disassembly, replacing defective parts, reassembling, etc.

The mission of the Electrical and Plumbing Technology Program is designed to help prepare students for a career in the Electrical field or the Plumbing field. The Electrical and Plumbing Technology program is self-paced and formatted so the student will have a choice of pathways. Students will spend extensive training in a hands-on environment. National Electric Code applications and safety are strongly emphasized.

Pharmacy Technology

The mission of the Pharmacy Technology program is to prepare students to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medication. Students will gain experience in prescription entry, IV preparation, sterile technique, and inventory control duties. This 12-month program is designed to provide training in the competencies required of a Pharmacy Technician. A Pharmacy Technician assists and supports licensed pharmacist in providing healthcare and medication to patients.

The mission of the Telecommunications program is to prepare students for gainful employment in the Telecommunications field by providing students with the fundamental theories, principles, experiments and real world experiences in Telecommunications. Students learn through “hands-on” applications utilizing trainers and real-world projects. Telecommunications offers several certifications built on recognized industry standards.

Truck Driving

The mission of the Truck Driving Program is to prepare students for “entry-level” employment as tractor-trailer drivers by providing the identified knowledge and performance skills necessary to pass the Commercial Driver’s test. The Truck Driving Program prepares individuals to build skills in safety practices, operation, vehicle maintenance, and non-vehicle activities associated with truck driving.

The mission of the Welding Technology Program is to prepare the student for entry into the labor market as a beginning welder. Students will learn to perform entry level proficiency in shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, flux core arc and gas tungsten arc welding. Materials to be joined include carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
