Administrative Assistant Technology

This program provides essential training for students to begin work in a professional office environment. Training includes the foundational skills of customer service, professional communication, business writing, office computing, and standard office procedures. At the completion of the certificates, graduates will be able to: Perform operations associated with business document creation and processing. Apply the concepts and skills necessary to achieve customer satisfaction.

The Administrative Office Technology program provides essential training in business office procedures, customer service skills, business communications, keyboarding and document processing, proofreading and editing, business etiquette, problem-solving, business writing, records and file managment, and business computer skills. Students receive general office and administrative support training.

Automotive Technology

The Automotive Technology program provides students with a thorough understanding of servicing and repairing automotive vehicles. Trainees are taught to use the proper factory-approved methods of servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. Training includes learning to diagnose, properly use test equipment, hand tools, special equipment, precision measuring tools, and service manuals and specifications. The program is taught by an ASE Master Technician.

Building Construction Technology

Central Sterile Processing Technology

The mission of the Central Sterile Processing Technology program is to provide an educational experience through cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) designed to produce central sterile processing technicians at the entry-level position and successfully prepared to take the national certification exam.

Certified Medical Assistant To Practical Nursing Bridge

The Certified Medical Assistant to Practical Nursing Bridge Program is a 12-month diploma program, which consists of a combination of classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences. These experiences expose the student to the wide variety of tasks and responsibilities required of today’s practical nurse. Students must be certified as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institution to enter the program.

Collision Repair Technology

The course will provide the necessary instruction in repairing and refinishing collision damage on full frame and unibody vehicles. Trainees are taught to use proper repair and refinish procedures using the latest equipment in technology and updated resource materials to repair vehicles back to manufacturer’s specification.

Computer Aided Design Technology

The Computer Aided Design Technology (CAD) student is taught to translate the ideas, notes, rough sketches, specifications, and calculations into working drawings, which skilled craftsmen use. Instruction in the fundamentals of material selection, strength, and manufacturing processes are included in the program.

Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer

The Criminal Justice curriculum contains a broad range of courses design to equip jailers and guards with the knowledge and understanding of inmate processing, maintaining order in the jail and invoking disciplinary measures when necessary. In addition, a jailer may also perform cell searches for drugs and other contraband, inspect the facility for cleanliness and stand guard during exercise periods.

Digital Agronomy

The Digital Agronomy Program will provide students with a foundation in both conventional and regenerative agricultural practices, with a focus on 21st century technology. Students will be exposed to GIS mapping, precision agriculture, the internet of things, and the latest in crop management and irrigation practices. The three-trimester program is heavily focused on work-based learning opportunities, and completion of each trimester will result in an industry-recognized certificate.

Electric Vehicle Production Technology

The Electric Vehicle Production Technology program is designed as a pathway for students to be prepared for careers in electric vehicle production facilities. This program meets the electric vehicle manufacturers' entry-level production technician needs. Graduates will complete lectures and hands-on instructional activities that equip them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities of advanced manufacturing processes and procedures related to Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing.

Farming Operations Technology

This program will provide students with skills and knowledge needed for today’s farming operations which include, but not limited to, row crops, animal agriculture, and precision agriculture. Students may earn certificates by completing courses that offers exposure to principles in agriculture, livestock equipment, and precision agriculture. Other courses for credentials will present welding, farm based electricity, and shop principles as well as agriculture finance.

General Construction Technology

This program provides essential training for students to begin work in the construction trade. Training includes the foundational skills of safety, carpentry, electrical wiring, plumbing, painting, masonry, landscaping, and building construction. The program will develop skills, attitudes and proper working habits that will enable the student to make an intelligent entry into the construction field.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, And Refrigeration

This program is accredited through HVAC Excellence. It is designed to provide instruction in the techniques, skills, and technical information necessary for entry level employment. Related math and theory are taught as needed throughout the program. Students become skilled in the utilization of computer equipment used in the industry. Certification can be obtained in EPA 608A Refrigerant Handling, R410A Safety Handling, HVAC Excellence Air-Conditioning, Heat Pump, Gas Heat, and Electric Heat.

Industrial Electricity

The Industrial Electricity course is designed to meet local requirements for qualified personnel in industrial and residential wiring. Students will be qualified for employment with local contractors by obtaining a diploma as an Electrician Apprentice or they may prepare themselves to meet the challenges of future technology in industrial maintenance by obtaining the Industrial Electrician Diploma.

The Industrial Electricity course is designed to meet local requirements for qualified personnel in industrial and residential wiring. Students will be qualified for employment with local contractors by obtaining a diploma as an Electrician Apprentice or they may prepare themselves to meet the challenges of future technology in industrial maintenance by obtaining the Industrial Electrician Diploma.

Industrial Maintenance

The Industrial Maintenance Technician program is designed to help meet the identified need for trained and skilled maintenance technicians. Incorporating classroom instruction and shop learning experience utilizing actual equipment and related training devices, the program is designed for the technology student preparing for a career in the industry. Students select two of the four elective programs of study in which they will spend one trimester (432 hours) per elective.

Industrial Maintenance Integrated Automation

The Industrial Maintenance Integrated Automation program provides students with a thorough understanding of the theory and operation of industrial plants and advanced manufacturing systems. Students gain the skills necessary to become technicians and to advance in the field of machine and equipment troubleshooting and repair.

Information And Infrastructure Technology

The Information and Infrastructure Technology program will prepare students for entry into the IT profession by preparing them to complete national certifications such as CompTIA, A+, Network+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and NC3. Students will train for entry into the Information Technology profession and develop professional workplace skills that will prepare them for career success.

Machine Tool Technology (Hybrid)

The work of machine tool operators, machinists, industrial maintenance technicians, and other occupations requires skill in machining metal by machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and shapers, and the ability to use precision measuring tools. The courses are designed to give the student experience on various machine tools similar to those on which they will work after graduation.

Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting

The Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting Program is designed to include classroom study and supervised clinical practice in health care facilities.The patient care technician student must complete the prescribed program of study and pass the state certification for Certified Nursing Assistant and national certificate for Patient Care Technician and Medical Assistant.

Pipefitting And Plumbing Technology

Pipefitting and Plumbing Technology is a competency-based training programs that take 1296 hours (12 months) to complete. Actual time is dependent upon the length of time it takes to achieve each competency. The individualized concept allows each student to progress at their own learning rate. The training program prepares students for an entry-level position as a pipefitter or plumber.

Power Line Construction And Maintenance

Practical Nursing

The Jackson Regional Practical Nursing Program provides the theory and skills necessary to perform as an entry-level practical nurse upon successful program completion. Instruction is provided through classroom lecture and discussion, laboratory demonstrations and practice, and clinical assignments at hospitals and long term care facilities.

Retail, Hospitality, And Tourism Technology

The retail, hospitality and tourism industry leads the future as one of the largest growing career sectors not only in Tennessee but in the country. This program will graduate highly skilled professionals who possess a deep understanding of the industry and its many facets and available opportunities.

Surgical Technology

The Surgical Technology Program trains individuals to prepare the operating room, select and care for instruments, provide technical assistance to the surgeon and nursing team during surgery, and break down the room after surgery. The program consists of four months of concentrated theory and lab practice, two months of integrated theory and clinical preparation, and six months of clinical practice.

Tool And Die Machining

Training in Tool and Die, offered to graduates of the Machine Tool course or equivalent in training or experience, prepares the student for entry into the metalworking industry. Instruction is provided on essential machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, as well as on machines such as conventional O.D. - I.D. grinders, Ram/CNC wire E.D.M., and CNC milling machines.

Truck Driving

This course is designed to provide classroom work, yard driving, and road driving experiences designed to meet the needs of the trucking industry. Students are taught to drive defensively and to have the knowledge necessary to operate the vehicle as well as abiding by all local, state and federal regulations.

Welding Technology

Welding is designed to give the student basic preparation toward becoming an expert welder and using welding as a trade. Specialized classroom and shop learning experiences with all types of commonly used metal welding are offered. These types include shielded metal arc (stick welding), gas metal arc (MIG), tungsten inert gas (TIG), and flux core welding. Also flame cutting and plasma arc cutting are taught.
