Administrative Office Technology (Hybrid)

The Administrative Office Technology (formerly Business Systems Technology) program is designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in today's computerized office. Students are offered an opportunity to experience extensive hands-on training with up-to-date office equipment and computer software. Students also receive course work in math, English, filing, office procedures, and work simulations.

Cosmetology

The mission of the Cosmetology Program is to provide students with the knowledge and training to enable them to become successful members of today's workforce. Students will be prepared for lifelong learning in order to meet the ever-changing challenges of the community and state. The Cosmetology Program provides classroom and practical learning experiences that are concerned with care and beautification of hair, complexion, and nails.

Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer

The Criminal Justice curriculum contains a broad range of courses design to equip jailers and guards with the knowledge and understanding of inmate processing, maintaining order in the jail and invoking disciplinary measures when necessary. In addition, a jailer may also perform cell searches for drugs and other contraband, inspect the facility for cleanliness and stand guard during exercise periods.

Health Information Management Technology

The mission of the Health Information Management Technology program is to provide the framework to describe the complete management of health information across computerized systems and its secure exchange between consumers, providers, government and quality entities, and insurers. The Health Information Management Technology program is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to secure jobs in today’s rapidly changing medical field.

Industrial Maintenance Integrated Automation

The mission of the Industrial Maintenance/Integrated AutomationTechnology Program is designed to meet both the needs of students and the needs of their future employers to develop the skill, knowledge, and competencies needed to work and grow in the industrial maintenance field. This program includes classroom and “hands-on” experience in electronics, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, motor controls, programmable controllers, robotics, machine shop, and related math.

Information Technology Systems Management

The Information Technology Systems Management program provides the knowledge and applicable skills necessary for an individual to work in Information Technology related disciplines.The program consists of studies in the following areas: installation and configuration of all major operating systems, networking, security, diagnostics, VoIP, Linux and Enterprise Networking with Cisco Systems.

Machine Tool Technology

The mission of the Machine Tool Technology Program is to provide learning experiences that will enable each individual to successfully enter the machine shop trade, lead a purposeful life and contribute to the community in which he/she lives. The Machine Tool Technology Program is designed to provide instruction enabling students to acquire fundamental knowledge of basic machine tool operation and setup procedures as well as instruction in precision measurement, bench work, blueprint reading

Practical Nursing

Full-time and part-time Practical Nursing programs are offered through TCAT Henry/Carroll. However, the part-time program is only available at the Paris campus. The mission of the Practical Nursing Program is to provide students with the knowledge and skill to enable them to become successful members of today's health care workforce. Students will be prepared for lifelong learning in order to meet the ever-changing challenges of the community and the state.

Residential Building Maintenance

The mission of the Residential Building Maintenance program is to prepare students to apply technical knowledge and skills to keep a building functioning and to service a variety of structures. Building maintenance workers have opportunities for employment in the repair/maintenance of residential and commercial building such as homes, apartments, schools, or government buildings.

Telecommunications Technology

The mission of the Telecommunications program is to prepare students for gainful employment in the Telecommunications field by providing students with the fundamental theories, principles, experiments and real world experiences in Telecommunications. Students learn through “hands-on” applications utilizing trainers and real-world projects. Telecommunications offers several certifications built on recognized industry standards.

Welding Technology

The mission of the Welding Technology Program is to prepare the student for entry into the labor market as a beginning welder. The course seeks to equip the student with the skills, attitudes, and work habits needed by those who successfully complete and enter into the labor market. The Welding program will teach industry acceptable standards of welds for gas metal arc and oxy-acetylene welding as well as the proper set-up of gas tungsten arc welding equipment.
