The Administrative Office Technology program is designed to develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that office professionals need to secure good jobs and succeed in today's computerized offices as well as the more traditional office environments. Students have the opportunity to work and experience extensive "hands-on" training with modern office equipment and computer software.

Basic EMT Accelerated

This course is designed to instruct a student to the level of Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, formerly the EMT-Ambulance, who serves as a vital link in the chain of the health care team. It is recognized that the majority of prehospital emergency medical care will be provided by the EMT-Basic. This includes all skills necessary for the individual to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an ambulance service or other specialized service.

Building Construction Technology

Building Construction Technology is designed to provide basic knowledge and applicable skills necessary for individuals to work in the building construction industry. Instruction provided will assist students in obtaining certifications in various construction trades, i.e. carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry.

Collision Repair Technology

This program provides the necessary instruction in repairing collision damaged vehicles. With the Chief Laser Lock systems, students learn how to analyze and repair damage back to manufacturer’s specifications. The refinishing course offers students advanced painting techniques including single stage urethane and base coat/clear coat systems.

Computer Aided Design Technology

The Computer Aided Design Technology program provides training for individuals who wish to acquire the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to become successfully employed in today’s modern field of Drafting and Computer Aided Design. The Computer Aided Design Technology program provides an introduction to the diverse fields of mechanical drafting and AEC (architectural, engineering, and construction).

Computer Information Technology

The Computer Information Technology program provides technical training in computer operations that meet the occupational needs of local business and industry in computer related areas. This program provides students with first-hand knowledge of the hardware, software, and operations of personal computers used in business and industry today.

Cosmetology

Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer

The Criminal Justice curriculum contains a broad range of courses designed to equip jailers and guards with the knowledge and understanding of inmate processing, maintaining order in the jail and invoking disciplinary measures when necessary. In addition, a jailer may also perform cell searches for drugs and other contraband, inspect the facility for cleanliness and stand guard during exercise periods. This training program, which may be completed over two trimesters.

Diesel Powered Equipment Technology

The mission of Diesel Powered Equipment Technol­ogy Program is to train individuals for employment as diesel service technicians and mechanics. Also known as bus and truck mechanics and diesel en­gine specialists, the individuals repair and maintain the diesel engines that power transportation equip­ment such as heavy trucks, buses, and locomo­tives.

Digital Graphic Design Technology

The mission of the Digital Graphic Design program is to provide training for individuals who wish to acquire the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to become successfully employed in the field of Graphic Design. The Digital Graphic Design program combines art with technology to communicate ideas in print and digital media. Students will be introduced to basic drawing techniques, color, print, typography, image editing, and page layout.

Earthmoving Equipment Operator

The Earthmoving Equipment Operator program consists of classroom, shop and hands-on activities. These activities will prepare the student to safely operate and maintain a variety of earthmoving machines, such as excavators, dozers and skid steers.

The mission of the Electrical & Plumbing Construction Technology Program is to prepare students for a career as an electrician and/or plumber in the fast growing construction industry.

Farming Operations Technology

Farming Operations Technology program will provide students with skills and knowledge needed for today’s farming operations which include, but not limited to, row crops, animal agriculture, and precision agriculture. Students may earn certificates by completing courses that offers exposure to principles in agriculture, livestock equipment, and precision agriculture. Other courses for credentials will present welding, farm based electricity, and shop principles as well as agriculture finance.

Health Information Management Technology

The Health Information Management Technology program is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to secure jobs in today’s rapidly changing medical field regardless of a student’s prior office experience or training.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, And Refrigeration

The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program provides instruction in techniques, skills, and technical information necessary for entry-level employment. Students will be trained in installation, troubleshooting, and repairing both commercial and residential air-conditioning and refrigeration units. Students can expect high quality technical training and job skills for area residents, industrial institutions, and individualized training needs.

Heavy Equipment Technology

The Heavy Equipment Technology program provides practical experience in the repair and maintenance of engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, clutch and transmissions, hydraulics, drivelines and axles, frame and suspension systems, steering systems, brake systems, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Students receive instruction in diagnosing trouble, system analysis, disassembly, replacing defective parts, reassembling, etc.

Industrial Electricity

The Industrial Electricity program is designed to prepare the student for employment as an electrician upon successful completion of the program. The student will receive instruction in general wiring methods, commercial, and industrial electrical wiring as well as training in electrical controls for machines and electric motors. Electricians work with blueprints during installation of electrical systems in factories, office building, homes, and other structures.

Industrial Maintenance

The Industrial Maintenance program provides students training in the use of equipment and maintenance/repair procedures of industrial equipment in the ever-changing technological work place. Industrial Maintenance is characterized by variety because each repair job presents a different problem requiring the knowledge to diagnose and repair the equipment. The Industrial Maintenance Program offers individualized instruction.

Machine Tool Technology

Machine Tool Technology provides trainees with technical knowledge and fundamental experience necessary to perform machine shop skills, such as the skillful use of blueprints, hand tools, and machines required to make quality parts. Students study the general purpose of machine tools in order to obtain the fundamental principles inherent in all machine shop operations.

Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting

Practical Nursing

The primary purpose of the Practical nursing (PN) program is to provide classroom and clinical learning experiences which enable graduates of the program to obtain the basic competencies needed to secure licensure and become gainfully employed. Clinical experience is conducted in area facilities. Following successful completion of the PN program, graduates will take a nationally standardized exam, the NCLEX-PN leading to licensure as a licensed practical nurse, LPN.

Truck Driving

This course is designed to provide classroom work, yard driving, and road driving experiences designed to meet the needs of the trucking industry. Students are taught to drive defensively and to have the knowledge necessary to operate the vehicle as well as abiding by all local, state and federal regulations.
