Collision Repair Technology

Collision Repair Technicians can repair most damage from vehicle collisions and make vehicles look and drive like new. Damage may be minor, such as hammering out a dent, or major, such as replacing an entire panel. After a major collision, the underlying frame of a car can become bent out of shape. Repairers restore the structural integrity of car frames back to manufacturer specifications.

Cosmetology

The Cosmetology program is designed to help the student master all the skills necessary for passing the State Board Examination, selecting the phase or phases of Cosmetology in which to specialize, and entering employment. The program also provides for the upgrading and updating of employed workers. Classroom instruction and practical learning experiences are interwoven into a variety of beauty treatments, including the care and beautification of the hair, complexion, and hands.

Industrial Maintenance Systems

Today's industrial machinery integrates mechanical and electrical systems. The electro-mechanical technician is equipped with the skills and knowledge to install and maintain a wide range of equipment in the modern industrial world. In this innovative educational program, students learn various aspects of industrial electricity, industrial mechanics, and automated control systems.

Machine Tool Technology

The Machine Tool Technology program is designed to provide the student with the ability to work as a machine tool operator, machinist, tool and die maker, industrial maintenance machinist and those in related occupations that require skill in machining metal.

Medium Heavy Equipment Technician

The Medium and Heavy Trucking Equipment Technology program provides practical experience in the repair and maintenance of engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, clutch and transmissions, hydraulics, drivelines and axles, frame and suspension systems, steering systems, brake systems, air systems, foundation brakes, drive train component systems and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Practical Nursing

Nursing classroom instruction and over 500 hours of hands-on clinical experience are provided under the supervision of the registered nurse faculty. In the TCAT Practical Nursing program, we demonstrate our commitment to our community through health fairs, blood drives, and school screens. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the graduate is eligible to write the State Board of Nursing Examination (NCLEX-PN) to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.

The basic skills of welding are similar across industries, so welders have the flexibility to shift from one industry to another. TCAT has little difficulty finding work for properly skilled welders.
