In the Department of Fine Arts, students gain advanced theoretical, performance, and production competencies for careers as educators and practitioners in the fine arts and music, and for further study for graduate degrees. Successful students will graduate with a baccalaureate degree in one of the department’s three fields of focus and the certification to teach (P-12) in that field.

Collaborative Education K-6, a special education program, is designed to prepare pre- service teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the of exceptional students as identified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Students take courses that introduce them to a variety of exceptionalities and awareness to critical issues relevant to the delivery of services to exceptional children.
