Anatomy

The Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy, with an optional minor, provides a broad-based education in modern life science while offering the opportunity for students to concentrate their efforts within various biological disciplines. The curriculum includes a strong background in the supporting sciences and prepares students for admission to graduate, medical, chiropractic, dental, optometric, and other health related programs, as well as careers in teaching and research.

Business Administration

The mission of the Master of Business Administration is to offer an intensive graduate program that educates students in theories and practices of the modern business environment. The degree fosters independent learning and enables students to contribute intellectually to the healthcare business profession. The program is 36 semester credit hours and can be completed in six terms, offered via online instructional format.

Chiropractic

The mission of the Doctor of Chiropractic Program is to educate individuals as patient-centered chiropractic physicians and members of a collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare team while embracing education, research, and service. The Doctor of Chiropractic curriculum is designed to be completed in ten trimesters, including seven trimesters of academic coursework and three trimesters of clinical internship.

Clinical Research

The MS in Clinical Research program is dedicated to the innovation, development, and application of knowledge related to all aspects of clinical research. The curriculum provides students with a comprehensive understanding of clinical research methodology, biostatistics, research ethics, and regulatory principles, preparing graduates to oversee clinical trials as investigators, study coordinators, and site managers.

Computed Tomography

The Certificate of Computed Tomography is a 16 credit hour program requiring a minimum of 16 semester credit hours of major coursework. Students demonstrate the knowledge and skill development to competently perform diagnostic imaging procedures and demonstrate radiation protection methods. Coursework includes principles of computed tomography, sectional anatomy for medical imaging, CT equipment and methodology, and special topics in tomography technology.

Computer Information Systems

The Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Information Systems prepares students with technical knowledge and critical thinking skills in object-oriented programming, database concepts, relational database design, telecommunications and computing networks, and the integration of information systems within the enterprise. The program requires a minimum of 120 semester credit hours including a concentration, and is offered via the online instructional format.

Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography

The Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography prepares competent entry-level sonographers in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains for the Adult Cardiac and Vascular concentrations. The 76-credit hour program requires general education prerequisites, major curriculum, and clinical fieldwork education, and prepares graduates to take national credentialing examinations.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography

The goal of the Diagnostic Sonography program is to prepare competent entry-level sonographers in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains for the Abdominal, Extended, and Obstetrics and gynecology sonography concentrations. The 76-credit hour program includes general education prerequisites, major curriculum, and clinical fieldwork education.

Functional Nutrition

The Master of Science Degree in Functional Nutrition curriculum provides a creative learning environment with an intensive program of study that is evidence-based and focuses on health promotion and disease prevention through nutrition, diet, and exercise; looking at health history, physiology, and lifestyle to address wellness. Graduates will be able to apply research findings as clinicians, consultants, educators, and researchers in the field of nutrition.

Health Information Management

The Bachelor of Science with a major in Health Information Management prepares students to verify, analyze and validate the accuracy and completeness of healthcare data; to abstract, calculate, interpret, and present healthcare data; and to develop, implement, and manage health information policies and systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements. Students complete a supervised Professional Practice Experience.

Health Science

The Associate of Science with a major in Health Sciences prepares students to recognize how socio-economic, cultural, behavioral, structural, biological, environmental, and other factors impact the health of individuals and communities, contribute to health disparities, and provide opportunities for promoting health throughout the life course. Graduates learn to assess and improve population health and describe issues of healthcare in the United States.

Integrative Health

The Bachelor of Science with a Major in Integrative Health prepares graduates with knowledge in the analysis and application of current scientific literature related to integrative health, the application of dietary and lifestyle patterns for health promotion and disease prevention, and the identification and application of medicinal herbs. Graduates are prepared to apply for graduate degree programs in Naturopathic Medicine, Chiropractic, Nutrition, Exercise Science, and related fields.

Interprofessional Spine Management

The Master of Science in Interprofessional Spine Management program integrates neuroscience and public health principles to develop professionals adept at guiding patients through their spine care journey within large hospital systems or medical groups. The program presents an integration of didactic, imaging, and clinical experiences, preparing students to function as entry-level providers directing the coordination of spine care in their community.

Massage Therapy

The Certificate in Massage Therapy is a 34-credit hour/600 clock hour program. Students demonstrate both therapeutic and relaxation modalities of massage therapy to provide appropriate client care, identify the relationship between the structure and function of the human body, and develop business goals for a career in the massage therapy industry. The program emphasizes professional and personal ethical guidelines governing clinical practice.

Nutritional Sciences

The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science prepares students to apply nutritional science to improve health and wellness at the individual and community levels; to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate scientific literature to make ethical, evidence-based decisions about nutrition; and to demonstrate skills as nutritional science and health researchers for post-graduate opportunities or entering the workforce. The program requires a minimum of 120 semester credit hours.

Pediatric Musculoskeletal Health and Promotion

The mission of the MS in Pediatric Musculoskeletal Health and Performance is to provide graduates with the appropriate skills in evaluating the musculoskeletal system. The program emphasizes the analysis of current literature and evidence-based pediatric musculoskeletal research and treatment interventions, and the comparison of acute and chronic pediatric musculoskeletal conditions, applying evidence-based interventions to promote healthy bodies. The program may be completed in five terms.

Public Health

The MPH degree is designed to prepare students to address the broad mission of public health utilizing education, community service, and research. The program includes knowledge basic to public health, including biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and health services administration. Students choose a concentration in Epidemiology or Health Promotion and complete an Applied Practice Experience.

Radiologic Technology

The Associate of Applied Science with a major in Radiologic Technology prepares students to demonstrate the knowledge and skill development to competently perform diagnostic imaging procedures, apply verbal and written communication skills within a healthcare setting, acquire critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate radiation protection methods. The program requires a minimum of 74 semester credit hours including general education, major, and clinical courses.

Sports Psychology

The Bachelor of Science in Sport Psychology prepares students to interpret psychological theories and current trends in research related to sport psychology, discuss legal and ethical issues in sport psychology and athletic performance, describe the physiological principles of athletic performance, and apply techniques to improve athletic performance and enhance mental well-being. The program is offered through distance education.

The Master of Science degree in Strength and Human Performance provides a comprehensive study of evidence-based research in physiology, biomechanics, and human metabolism to enhance health, function, and physical performance. This program prepares students for advanced graduate work in research and for professionals in a health-related field to strengthen their knowledge and application of exercise science. An optional Strength and Conditioning concentration includes an internship experience.
