Certified Casting Instructor

The Casting Instructor Certification Program began in 1992 for the purpose of enhancing the overall level of instruction in fly casting, including instructor knowledge, casting proficiency, and teaching ability.

Certified Two-Handed Casting Instructor

While the CBOG administers the Casting Instructor Certification Program, the success of the program is dependent on involvement of Master Casting Instructors (MCI) working at the local level. Master Instructors play a key role in the CICP as they instruct students, teach, and mentor candidates toward Casting Instructor (CI) certification.

Master Certified Casting Instructor

The Master's certification is a rigorous and demanding test. It is not the intention of the Federation of Fly Fishers to disappoint anyone who takes the exam; rather it is our simple intention to help people become better casters and better teachers of fly casting. Those who administer the Master's level certification have a strict charge because Master Casters are in turn permitted to certify those at the first Instructor's level.
