Electrical Engineering

The Master of Liberal Arts with Specialization in Education offers students interested in a career in classical/Christian/public education an opportunity to prepare for Texas teacher certification. The Professional School Counseling program prepares students for certification as school counselors. Candidates earn the MEd degree and must have two years of successful teaching in an accredited school as a certified teacher.

Psychology

Psychology majors can expect a breadth of knowledge about human thoughts and behavior, human development, how people connect with others, and the psychological disorders humans endure, gained through core courses, electives, and a capstone senior course with a research project or field-placed internship.

The Accelerated MAP offers the same critical examination of psychology as the standard undergraduate track but also provides the opportunity to begin working toward a Master of Arts in Psychology during the senior year, allowing students to complete both a BA and MA in Psychology in a five-year period.

Graduates with a Master of Arts in Psychology have the foundational methodology and experience for many career fields. This degree prepares students for immediate employment in environments including community college teaching, law enforcement, and private industry, with three career-focused concentrations: Thesis, Applied Project, and Teaching. The HCU Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts is a Christian-based, two-year studio program with specialization in two-dimensional studies (painting, drawing, printmaking) and three-dimensional studies (sculpture, ceramics).
