The 21st Century Workplace Writing Occupational Skills Award is designed for career professionals and students at Austin Community College to level up their business and technical writing skills and adapt to a changing workforce This award will help students gain expertise in their written communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and technical skills, as well as providing training in the ethical and effective use of generative AI, an emerging technology that the World Economic Forum reports

2D ANIMATION LEVEL 2

In 2D animation courses, students learn how to bring their artwork, characters, and stories to life. Students learn to convert their artistic abilities from basic to advanced level hand-drawn and digital animation skills using the latest industry-standard software. Graduates prepare for a career in the animation industry as a storyboard artist, character designer or 2D animator.

2D ANIMATION SPECIALIZATION

Courses provide a balance between 3D technical skills and the development of motion aesthetics and the curriculum culminates in a portfolio-building project. The courses in the 3D Animation Level 2 Certificate apply towards the 3D Animation Specialization Associate of Applied Science Degree.

3D ANIMATION SPECIALIZATION

The 3D Animation program equips students with animation skills that are used in the film, broadcast, and computer game industries. Courses provide a balance between 3D technical skills and the development of motion aesthetics and the curriculum culminates in a portfolio-building project. 4-8 GRADE LEVELS

The Accounting Specialist Occupational Skills Award recognizes attainment of enhanced skills for those students employed in the accounting or related areas. All courses may be applied toward the Accounting Specialist or the Professional Accountant Advanced Technical Certificates. ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

The Accounting Specialist Associate of Applied Science degree is designed to provide an accounting curriculum for those students whose primary interest is to sit for the Certified Public Accountant Exam (CPA) and are not planning to work towards a four-year degree in Accounting. Note: In order to be granted an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting, the student must maintain a 2.0 or better average for all accounting courses taken.

ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

The Accounting Specialist Advanced Technical Certificate award recognizes attainment of enhanced skills for those students wanting to enroll in a Masters of Accountancy degree plan at a 4-year institution of higher learning. All courses may also be applied toward the Professional Accountant Advanced Technical Certificate. You must already have earned a bachelor's degree prior to being admitted to this program.

ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER

The Accounting Technician Full Charge Bookkeeper program is designed to prepare the student for entry level accounting positions in accounting firms, industry or government. This will be accomplished by training students in those skills necessary for successful performance as accounting technicians, with heavy emphasis on hands-on applications. ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN QUICKBOOKS LEVEL 1

The Accounting Technician Quickbooks Level 1 Certificate recognizes attainment of basic skills necessary for employment in the accounting area with heavy emphasis on Quickbooks and Excel. All courses may be applied toward the Accounting Technician Full Charge Bookkeeper Associate of Applied Science degree. Note from the Texas Board of Public Accountancy: You can only refer to yourself as a CPA, accountant or auditor if you are a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.

ADDICTIONS COUNSELING

The Addictions Counseling Associate of Applied Science degree prepares students for careers in counseling and direct care work in the addictions field. This program prepares students for partial fulfillment of state licensure (LCDC) for alcoholism and drug abuse counselors. Eligibility is subject to approval by the appropriate state agency.

ADDICTIONS COUNSELING

The Addictions Counseling Advanced Technical Certificate provides the coursework and practicum hours necessary for the individual holding an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a non-social/behavioral science area who plans to sit for the state licensing exam in order to become a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT LEVEL 1

The Administrative Assistant Level 1 Certificate prepares students to carry out administrative and general office functions required in assistant or executive assistant positions. Students will learn to coordinate, expedite, and facilitate office operations by implementing specific use of selected word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.

ADVANCED AUTOMOTIVE LEVEL 1

At Austin Community College (ACC), the technical training programs are designed to meet the needs of a modern automotive service facility. Emphasis is placed on real world approaches to diagnostic skill building and a thorough understanding of system theory and operations. Independent, self-directed learning is promoted through hands-on experience with mockups and modern vehicles and use of computer programs and audiovisuals.

ADVANCED DIGITAL TOOLS FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN

The Advanced Digital Tools for Graphic Design Enhanced Skills Certificate is for students who have completed the Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design Specialization. This award provides students with an advanced curriculum in industry-standard software.

ADVANCED DIGITAL TOOLS FOR VISUAL DESIGN

The Advanced Digital Tools for Visual Design Enhanced Skills Certificate is for students who have completed the Associate of Applied Science degree in Visual Design Specialization. This award provides students with an advanced curriculum in industry-standard software.

ADVANCED EMT LEVEL 1

The Advanced EMT Level 1 Certificate award plan combines classroom teaching with supervised clinical and field experience for the emergency medical health professional. Emphasis is placed on patient assessment and initial treatment of the following: respiratory, bleeding and shock, and all types of trauma and burns. Students will also receive information on pharmacology, toxicology, environmental and infectious diseases and all aspects of EMS Systems.

ADVERTISING SPECIALIZATION

The Associate of Applied Science in Photography with a specialization in Advertising degree prepares students for a career in commercial photography. Students gain an understanding of the trends, practices, and history of photography in advertising images. Graduates of this specialization often begin as photographer's assistants or digital technicians while growing their practice as a commercial, fine art, or editorial photographers.

AFRICAN AND AFRICAN DIASPORA STUDIES

The Interdisciplinary Studies (INDS) Program at Austin Community College recognizes that culture, history, politics, civil society, and religion, as well as science and technology are interwoven and interconnected. The Interdisciplinary Studies degree helps students develop critical and creative thinking skills that will prepare them to succeed in a complex, interconnected world and in a variety of professions.

AGRICULTURE SCIENCE

The Agriculture Science Associate of Science Degree is for students intending to pursue a Bachelor of Science in an agricultural subject. This AS degree includes courses in horticulture, animal science, agronomy, agricultural economics, and agricultural marketing. These courses will prepare students to further their educational and professional goals in the field of agriculture by providing an introductory knowledge of the agricultural industry.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE STUDIES LEVEL 1

The American Sign Language Studies Level 1 Certificate includes six SGNL courses on ASL I through ASL IV, Introduction to the Deaf Community, and Visual/Gestural Communication. It provides a thorough knowledge of ASL and is designed for students in other majors (e.g. Pharmacy Technician) who might use ASL to communicate as part of their job. This certificate can be applied towards the Interpreter Training Associate of Applied Science degree.

ARABIC

The study of Arabic at ACC provides the foundation needed to communicate in another language through both the spoken and written forms. Students are also expected to identify commonalities and respect cultural differences, deepening their understanding of the world. At Austin Community College, students can study the following 10 languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Russian, and Spanish.

ARCHAEOLOGY

The Associate of Science degree in Archaeology provides students with the first two years of coursework towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a specialization in archaeology. This degree plan offers a broad background of liberal arts and science courses transferable to a four-year institution, focusing on the archaeological, cultural, and biological diversity of the human species.

ARCHITECTURAL AND ORNAMENTAL METALS

With this Architectural and Ornamental Metals AAS degree, students will receive industry relevant training in fundamental welding and fabrication processes with a focus on the skills required of an architectural metal fabricator, contemporary blacksmith, and metal sculptor. A graduate with this degree can gain access to an established employment market and a practical means of livelihood working as a welder, fabricator, or architectural blacksmith.

ARCHITECTURAL CAD/BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING SPECIALIZATION LEVEL 1

This program is intended for students pursuing careers in the field of Architectural Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Building Information Modeling (BIM). Students are strongly encouraged to meet with the Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design Program's Architectural CAD advisor before pursuing this certificate program.

ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY

An Enhanced Skills Certificate in Architectural Photography provides advanced students or working professionals with refined skills to photography architectural interiors and exteriors for commercial clients. Students will gain proficiency with composition, extending dynamic range, and perspective control.

ARCHITECTURAL SPECIALIZATION

This program is intended for students pursuing careers in the Architectural CAD Drafting and Design Specialization field, or by students preparing to transfer to university architectural programs. Architectural CAD drafters work with architects and designers in the preparation of drawings necessary to build a structure. Study of construction techniques and materials, as well as building codes are important to the education of an architectural drafter.

ARCHITECTURE

The Associate of Science degree in Architecture includes field of study curriculum approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The Field of Study Curriculum for Architecture consists of 36 lower- division semester credit hours that are fully transferable to other Texas public colleges and universities. Students should always consult with an academic or Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design faculty advisor regarding transfer to a specific college or university.

ART HISTORY

The Associate of Arts degree in Art History is designed to provide foundational training and knowledge for students planning to pursue a four-year degree in Art History or Museum Studies or for those who would like to have a stronger foundation in Art History in preparation for other four-year degree programs or to enter the workforce. Students should always consult with an academic or Art faculty advisor regarding transfer to a specific college or university.

BACCALAUREATE PREP SPECIALIZATION

The Baccalaureate Prep Specialization degree is designed for students who wish to transfer to a four-year institution upon graduation or are transferring general education credits. This award plan consists of 42 general education credit hours that will transfer to any public institution of higher education in Texas; these courses must be chosen from the ACC Core Curriculum Course List. The major component of this degree is made up of eight courses.

BAKING AND PASTRY

Accredited by the American Culinary Federation Accrediting Commission. This program is designed for students who wish to begin their culinary practices and learn the fundamental skills of working in a commercial pastry/baking environment. Transfer credits may also be considered. The time of completion for this degree for a student who attends full time is 2 years. Employment and internship opportunities are available to all students within our programs.

BAKING AND PASTRY ENTREPRENEURSHIP SPECIALIZATION

The Baking and Pastry Entrepreneurship Degree offers pastry majors a variety of classes with the goal of taking a small business vision to fruition. For students interested in business operations such as food trucks, coffee shops, patisserie, cake shops, small catering firms, and other small business in the foodservice industry, this program includes courses that will prepare the student with the technical competency and business skills for a student's specific business interest.

BIOTECHNOLOGY LEVEL 1

The Biotechnology Level 1 Certificate prepares students to function as entry-level biotechnicians in the laboratory or in biotechnology manufacturing. Students interested in this program should consult with the program advisor before taking any courses. Courses in this certificate apply towards the Associate of Applied Science degree in Biotechnology.

CARDIAC SONOGRAPHY CERTIFICATION

The Cardiac Sonography Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC) Program is for credentialed sonographers seeking formal education in adult echocardiography. Enrollment is limited to students who have previously graduated with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited sonography program, hold active credentials in medical and/or vascular sonography, and have two years of verifiable work experience.

CARDIOVASCULAR-INTERVENTIONAL TECHNOLOGY

Cardiovascular Interventional Technologists work with sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment to take images of the heart and surrounding blood vessels. Technologists assist with procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, embolization, ablation, and biopsies. Students who successfully complete the didactic and clinical portions of the program will be eligible to write for the ARRT CI exam.

CARDIOVASCULAR SONOGRAPHY

Enrollment is restricted to students in the Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography (DCVS) Program. CIVIL ENGINEERING

The Associate of Science degree in Civil Engineering includes field of study curriculum approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The Civil Engineering Field of Study Curriculum consists of 40 lower-division semester credit hours of fully transferable and applicable lower-division academic courses. Academic credit shall be granted on a course-for-course basis at the credit-hour level of the receiving institution.

CIVIL SPECIALIZATION

This program is intended for students pursuing careers in the Civil CAD Drafting and Design Specialization, or by students preparing to transfer to university civil programs. Civil CAD drafters work with civil engineers and designers in the preparation of drawings necessary for civil engineering, surveying or construction projects. Study of local design criteria is important to the education of a civil drafter.

CODE WELDING

The Code Welding AAS option is for the student desiring a production- based degree, and offers a synthesis of manipulative skills and technical knowledge. COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY

Computed Tomography (CT) technologists use ionizing radiation to create three-dimensional images for diagnostic purposes. They work in hospitals, clinics, labs, and outpatient centers. Technologists working in CT produce cross-sectional x-rays using a rotating x-ray unit. A computer then uses these images to create a 3D image used for diagnosis. The CT Program is offered to imaging professionals with a primary current certification in one of the following areas: Radiology R.T.(R)(AART).

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN FOUNDATION LEVEL 1

This multidiscipline program is intended for students exploring the career options in Computer Aided Design (CAD) as it relates to the fields of mechanical and civil engineering, and architecture. The Firefighter Level 1 Certificate is designed to give the student instruction in the areas of firefighting that are required to be certified in fire suppression. The Fire Service Supervisor Level 1 Certificate is designed to give the student instruction in the areas of firefighting that are required to be certified in fire suppression. GENERAL HUMAN SERVICES

The required course work in the General Human Services Associate of Applied Science degree is designed to provide students with basic skills necessary for employment in a wide variety of social service settings. GENERAL STUDIES IN ARTS

The Associate of Arts in General Studies is designed as the equivalent of the first half of a Baccalaureate degree. However, students should be aware that this degree plan may not satisfy the requirements of a specific transfer university. GENERAL STUDIES IN PRE-HEALTH SCIENCES

This Associate of Science degree is intended to provide students preparation for pursuing a Health Science major in a selective admissions program. To receive an Associate of Science degree in General Studies in Pre-Health Sciences, students must: (a) make a minimum grade of C in all required courses and (b) have an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.

GENERAL STUDIES IN SCIENCE

The General Studies in Science degree is designed for students desiring to pursue a flexible plan in the area of mathematics or science. LIGHTING AND MEDIA TECHNOLOGY LEVEL 1

The Lighting and Media Technology Level 1 Certificate is designed to meet the needs of individuals in the community who desire skills and knowledge in construction and assembly techniques for stage scenery. This certificate will provide students with both analytical and technical skills. Technical skills will include constructing scenic pieces, developing paint plans, as well developing safe rigging plans.

LIMITED MEDICAL RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST (LMRT) LEVEL 2

A radiologic tech is a licensed healthcare professional with training in the safe use of x-ray equipment in clinical settings under the supervision of a radiologist or other physician. Students working toward admission into the Radiology program are required to declare General Studies in Pre-Health Sciences Associate of Science degree as their major until they are officially accepted to the program.

MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging modality that utilizes the resonant frequency properties of atoms that are placed within a powerful magnetic field. MRI provides excellent contrast between different soft tissues of the body making it especially useful in neurological (brain), musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging.

MAKEUP ARTISTRY LEVEL 1

The Makeup Artistry Level 1 Certificate is designed to meet the needs of individuals in the community who desire skills and knowledge in makeup application and special effects techniques. This certificate will provide students with both analytical and technical skills. Technical skills will include basic makeup application for the stage and film, as well special effects prosthetic construction and crafts development.

MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST

Mammography technologists use specialized equipment to obtain images that help physicians detect breast cancer and other breast diseases in their earliest stages. They work in hospitals, clinics, labs, and outpatient centers. Admission is limited to individuals that are certified and registered in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.

MANAGEMENT

ACC's Management Program includes individual management courses and specialized courses appropriate to individual academic interest, current or future work activities, and/or possible transfer to other colleges or universities. Graduates of the Management Associate of Applied Science degree may wish to pursue a four-year non-traditional occupational education degree (Bachelors of Applied Arts and Science, BAAS).

MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY - ADVANCED MANUFACTURING

The Manufacturing Technology - Advanced Manufacturing Specialization Associate of Applied Science degree will prepare students as technicians for the local manufacturing industry. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Marketing is a two-year program that will provide detailed knowledge and skills in the various functions of marketing and marketing management that prepares students to directly enter the workforce. Course work includes both general marketing courses, to establish a foundation of study, and specialized courses that will allow the student to meet their individual career objectives.

MARKETING LEVEL 1

The Marketing Level 1 Certificate is designed to meet the needs of the individuals in the community who desire skills and knowledge in marketing. All of the courses will aid these employees of all industries that are involved in all functions of marketing by allowing them to better understand how these marketing functions can affect the marketing process and how they are interrelated.

MECHANICAL COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN/ COMPUTER AIDED MANUFACTURING SPECIALIZATION LEVEL 1

This program is intended for students pursuing careers in the field of Mechanical Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM). Students wishing to focus in this field are strongly encouraged to meet with the Mechanical Coordinator in the Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design department before pursuing this certificate program.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering includes field of study curriculum approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The Mechanical Engineering Field of Study Curriculum consists of 37 lower-division semester credit hours of fully transferable and applicable lower-division academic courses. Academic credit shall be granted on a course-for-course basis at the credit-hour level of the receiving institution.

MECHANICAL SPECIALIZATION

This program is intended for students pursuing careers in the Mechanical CAD Graphics Specialization field. Mechanical drafters work with mechanical engineers and designers to prepare detail and assembly drawings of a wide variety of machinery and mechanical devices. They may be involved in specifying design elements such as the types of fasteners (nuts, bolts, screws) needed to assemble the machine.

MEDICAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT LEVEL 1

The Medical Administrative Assistant Level 1 Certificate provides office administration training with added emphasis in the tasks and knowledge pertaining to the medical field including medical terminology, medical coding, and application of office procedures specific to the medical office. MEDICAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SPECIALIZATION

The Medical Administrative Assistant Specialization Associate of Applied Science degree provides office administration training with added emphasis in the tasks and knowledge pertaining to the medical field including medical terminology, medical coding, and application of office procedures specific to the medical office. One semester of internship provides practical application of specialized training.

MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT LEVEL 1

The Office Administration curriculum provides students with increased knowledge of specialized areas of office procedures and techniques. The specialized curricula prepare students with marketable skills to meet their individual requirements, current demands, and future needs of the business world. The Medical Office Assistant Level 1 Certificate may be completed in one semester.

MEDICAL-VASCULAR SONOGRAPHY

Enrollment is restricted to students in the Diagnostic Medical-Vascular Sonography (DMVS) Program. Prior to enrolling in the Medical-Vascular Sonography Advanced Technical Certificate courses, students must already have earned the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Associate of Applied Science Degree.

MEETING AND EVENT PLANNING SPECIALIZATION

The Meeting and Event Planning Specialization degree offers hospitality management majors with specified training in the meeting and event planning sector of the hospitality industry. This degree has two tracks; Meeting Planning and Special Events. The corporate track in this program will prepare you to help businesses fulfill the need for professionally planned meetings, tradeshows, conferences, expos, and more.

The Meeting Planning Level 1 Certificate is designed to give students an overview into the many sectors of the meeting and event planning industry. Courses are taught in both lecture and applied formats so that students may gain real world experience while they are in the program.

The Interdisciplinary Studies (INDS) Program at Austin Community College recognizes that culture, history, politics, civil society, and religion, as well as science and technology are interwoven and interconnected. The motion graphics and visual effects program trains students to create visual effects and animated designs for film, broadcast, games, and the web using industry-standard tools and techniques. MOTORCYCLE REPAIR ADVANCED LEVEL 1

This program provides power mechanics technology training in the principles and operation of motorcycle two and four cycle engines, electrical systems, engine failure analysis, tune-up, hydraulic principles and extensive laboratory experience. It covers motorcycle chassis mounted equipment. It includes, brakes, wheels and tires, clutches, drive chains, and transmissions.

MULTIPLE PROCESS WELDING

The sequence of courses in the Multiple Process Welding Occupational Skills Award introduces students to the technical aspects and safe practices of the primary industrial arc welding processes: GMAW/FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW. It provides students with entry-level skills for the close- tolerance welding required in the sheet metal, structural, piping, and related industries. All courses can be applied towards any Welding Technology AAS degree.

MUSICAL THEATER

The Drama program at ACC provides students with the opportunity to achieve an Associate of Arts degree in Musical Theater. This degree is compatible with and comparable to the first two years of Drama education at other universities and colleges. The Office Assistant Level 1 Certificate prepares students to carry out administrative and general office functions required in assistant or executive assistant positions. Accredited by the American Culinary Federation Accrediting Commission. This program is designed for students who wish to begin their culinary practices and learn the fundamental skills of working in a commercial pastry/baking environment. Transfer credits may also be considered. The time of completion for this certificate for a student who attends full time is 3 semesters. This certificate will also articulate into the Associate of Applied Science degree program.

The Personal Fitness Trainer Level 1 Certificate is a thirty-five hour program designed to train individuals who seek employment as a Personal Fitness Trainer. This certificate is designed to offer focused instruction in the field of exercise science with specific training in fitness evaluation and testing, program design and implementation, and advanced training methods and nutrition.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LEVEL 1

The Pharmacy Technician Level 1 Certificate is restricted to students enrolled in the ACC Health Sciences Academy. The Pharmacy Technician is an integral member of the health care team. Pharmacy Technicians work with pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products in a variety of health care settings, including hospital and community pharmacies.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LEVEL 2

PHILOSOPHY WITH HUMANITIES EMPHASIS

The Associate of Arts degree in Philosophy with Humanities Emphasis is primarily designed to provide foundational training and knowledge for those who plan on pursuing a 4-year degree in the humanities or cultural studies or those who would like to have a stronger foundation in the humanities in their preparation for a 4-year degree in Philosophy.

PHILOSOPHY WITH RELIGION EMPHASIS

The Associate of Arts degree in Philosophy with Religion Emphasis is primarily designed to provide foundational training and knowledge for those who plan on pursuing a 4-year degree in the academic study of religion (Religious Studies), in a Philosophy program with an emphasis on religion, or in a theological program at a religious institution of higher education.

PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN

Phlebotomy is the practice of obtaining blood for testing purposes. Graduates of this one-semester certificate program fill vital roles in hospitals, clinics, and research facilities, and often go on to complete ACC's Medical Laboratory Technology program. The Phlebotomy program is offered on a first come, first serve basis in the fall, spring and summer semesters. Applications are accepted on an on- going basis. Admission is based on application date.

PHOTO AND DIGITAL TECH LEVEL 1

A Level One Certificate in Photo and Digital Tech prepares students with the skills to work alongside commercial photographers as camera, lighting, and digital asset technicians.

PHOTOGRAPHIC RETOUCHING LEVEL 1

A Level One Certificate in Photographic Retouching prepares students with the skills to work as an assistant retoucher, and digital asset managers for photographers, agencies, and archives.

PIPE WELDING LEVEL 1

The Structural Welding Level 1 Certificate must be completed before beginning the Pipe Welding Level 1 Certificate. This certificate builds upon the Structural Welding Level 1 Certificate by providing additional training in welding piping and tubular products. It prepares the student to enter the workforce as a combination welder certified to weld pipe and plate. All courses may be applied towards the Associate of Applied Science in Welding Technology with a specialization in Code Welding.

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

An Enhanced Skills Certificate in Portrait Photography provides students and professionals with the technical and creative agility needed to render stylistic ideas from concept to production. Special emphasis is given to development of personal style. An Associate of Applied Science degree or higher in photography or a portfolio submission with department chair approval is required prior to beginning this Enhanced Skills Certificate program.

PRE-MEDICAL

The Pre-Medical program at ACC provides students with the first two years of college science education in preparation to pursue Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, Pre-Pharmacy, and Pre-Veterinary studies at a four-year institution. To receive an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Medical, students must: (a) make a minimum grade of C in all required math and science courses and (b) have an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANT

All courses may be applied toward the Professional Accountant Advanced Technical Certificate. Note from the Texas Board of Public Accountancy: You can only refer to yourself as a CPA, accountant or auditor if you are a licensed CPA in the state of Texas. See Section 901.453 of The Public Accountancy Act. In addition, a CPA should avoid the use of terms such as "specialist".

RADIOLOGY

A radiologic tech is a licensed healthcare professional with training in the safe use of x-ray equipment in clinical settings under the supervision of a radiologist or other physician. Students working toward admission into the Radiology program are required to declare General Studies in Pre-Health Sciences Associate of Science degree as their major until they are officially accepted to the program.

REAL ESTATE BROKERAGE LICENSING

If you are interested in working in real estate, you should be mature, highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail oriented. Real Estate agents and brokers need to have a thorough knowledge of the real estate market in their communities. They are familiar with zoning and tax laws and are generally at the center of most real estate transactions.

REAL ESTATE LICENSING LEVEL 1

Real Estate Licensing Level 1 Certificate - A minimum of 180 classroom hours of Real Estate instruction, comprised of five mandatory courses, is required to sit for the Texas Real Estate Sales Licensing Exam. A holder of a sales license can only perform real estate activities under the sponsorship (and supervision) of someone who holds a broker license. Final approval of the degree plan for graduation is provided by the Admissions Office.

RETAIL MANAGEMENT

The Occupational Skills Award in Retail Management is designed to give students short-term workforce training in retail management. This award will provide the minimum training to obtain work as an entry level retail management position.

RETAIL MANAGEMENT IN MARKETING

The Retail Management in Marketing Occupational Skills Award is designed to give students short-term workforce training. This Marketing award is the first step toward the Retail Management Level 1 Certificate in the Management program. It will provide the minimum training to obtain work in entry level management positions.

The Scenic Construction Level 1 Certificate is designed to meet the needs of individuals in the community who desire skills and knowledge in construction and assembly techniques for stage scenery. This certificate will provide students with both analytical and technical skills. Technical skills will include constructing scenic pieces, developing paint plans, as well developing safe rigging plans.

SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT LEVEL 1

The Small Business Management Level 1 Certificate is designed to help students manage and/or start-up and operate a small-business enterprise. This certificate program option includes courses that are listed in the Management AAS degree and can be used as milestones towards completion of that award.

The Associate of Applied Science in Photography with a specialization in Storytelling and New Media degree prepares students for working in a variety of visual creator roles including photojournalism, content and branding, and lifestyle photography. STREAMING TELEVISION AND BROADCAST PRODUCTION

This creative program trains students in essential modern media production fundamentals, skills and techniques using cutting-edge industry tools. Balancing the art, craft and business of multimedia storytelling for evolving forms of TV, students develop projects from concept to completion, integrating studio/field production, interactive development, post-production workflow, and use of the latest distribution technologies to share work across platforms for impact.

STRUCTURAL WELDING LEVEL 1

The Structural Welding Level 1 Certificate provides training and shop experience in welding and fabricating plate. It prepares students for immediate, entry-level employment with minimum training. All courses may be applied toward the Associate of Applied Science in Welding Technology with a specialization in Code Welding. This certificate prepares the student to pursue the Pipe Welding Certificate.

STUDIO ART

The classes offered in ACC's Art Program provide learning opportunities for both new and experienced artists. Students become proficient in a wide range of materials and methods, refine their craft in fully equipped studios, and gain exposure to art history, ceramics, drawing, digital art, 2D and 3D design, color theory, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE

The Sustainable Agriculture Associate of Applied Science Degree offers courses that focus on ecological farming, quality of life and farm profitability. These courses are designed to provide agricultural production and business skills training. Courses range from foundational principles in knowledge of ecological farming practices and the seasonal process.

TAX SPECIALIST

The Tax Specialist Associate of Applied Science degree is designed to provide an accounting curriculum for those students whose primary interests lie in the area of accounting but who do not plan to work towards a four-year degree in Accounting or become an accounting technician.

VOCATIONAL NURSING LEVEL 2

ACC's Vocational Nursing program is a college-credit certificate program that includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning experiences. This program is designed to prepare the graduate to provide nursing care in structured health care settings for clients of all ages who have well defined health problems with predictable outcomes.

WEB DEVELOPER SPECIALIST LEVEL 1

The courses in the Web Developer Specialist Level 1 Certificate will apply towards the Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming - Web Programming Specialization degree. These courses are designed to train the student for an entry-level Web programming position.

WELDING INSPECTION SPECIALIZATION

With the Welding Inspection Specialization AAS degree, students will receive training in basic welding, structural fabrication techniques, and safe practices, in addition to preparation for the challenging and diverse field of welding inspection. As part of the capstone experience, qualified graduates may opt to take the AWS QC-1 National Certified Welding Inspector examination administered by the American Welding Society.

WOODWORKING LEVEL 1

Students desiring to build cabinets and furniture will take a sequence of courses starting at "Beginning Woodworking" and culminating at the capstone class that will ensure them the knowledge and skills that are required to be a successful woodworker.
