Advanced Counseling Techniques

This course will involve the study of theoretical approaches to counseling which have been demonstrated to be culturally-relevant and conceptually inclusive of multiple theories and techniques: Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques will be emphasized (other techniques will also be explored). Selected readings, academic discussion and clinical application will be stressed. Critical thinking and active participation are essential.
